Arizona Floodplain Management Association (AFMA) Fall 2022 Conference

This year’s AFMA Fall Conference will be featuring class and learning opportunities, a line-up of local and regional presentations, AFMA board elections, and a poster session with ASU students. More details are forthcoming, but anyone interested in attending should book their stay and nominate someone for the AFMA board!

The first day is reserved for informative programs and training, and includes a variety of guest speakers. Committee meetings and reports and sometimes a field trip of local interest are held on the second day.

WEST Presence:

• Senior Project Manager, Luciana Cunha, PhD, PH, will be presenting “Statewide in-depth evaluation of storms in AZ” at 9:00 AM during the Thursday Plenary. This presentation was co-authored by Staff Engineer, Caileen Yu, MS.
• Project Manager, Mike Gerlach, PE, will be attending as an AFMA Board Member.
• Staff Hydrologist, Andrew Daus, CFM, ENV SP, will be attending.
